Directions to Hay Creek Ranch
***Do NOT use Google Maps or another app- it will direct you to the wrong entrance.
From Rapid City (Nemo Road):
Get off I-90 at Exit 55. This is the Deadwood Avenue exit.
From the stoplight at Exit 55 go south (left) 2.3 miles. You will be going downhill. At the bottom of the hill Deadwood Avenue intersects with W. Omaha/W. Chicago.
Turn west (right) on W. Chicago. It is 1.1 miles to the stop light at Sturgis Road. Keep going west on W. Chicago. You are now in a residential area.
At the 44th Street stoplight you will veer to the right and the road becomes South Canyon Road. Stay on South Canyon Road as it starts to wind up into the Hills.
There isn't any sign, but South Canyon Road turns into Nemo Road.
Stay on Nemo Road, passing through Nemo, all the way to Corral Creek Road, which is approximately 10.9 miles northwest of Nemo. Look for the blue sign that reads HAY CREEK RANCH CAMP.
Turn south (left) on Corral Creek Road (gravel road).
Stay on Corral Creek Road for approximately 4.3 miles and then veer to the left onto Lucky Strike.
Continue on Lucky Strike (Forest Service Road 582.2) for 1.8 miles.
Look for the sign on the dead tree marking Forest Service Road 582.2E. You will turn left onto 582.2E. (The Forest Service sometimes takes down our sign, so be alert!)
Stay on Forest Service Road 582.2E for 0.6 miles and watch for the Hay Creek Ranch gate on your right.
Directions from US 385 (6.4 miles) if you are coming from the west:
Turn east onto Nemo Road.
Go east 2.2 miles and turn south (right) onto Corral Creek Road (gravel road).
Continue on Corral Creek Road for approximately 4.3 miles. You will cross a cattle guard and the intersection with Rockland Road.
After Rockland Road you will veer to the left onto Lucky Strike.
Continue on Lucky Strike (Forest Service Road 582.2) for 1.8 miles.
Look for the sign on the dead tree marking Forest Service Road 582.2E. Turn left onto 582.2E just before the dead tree and continue for 0.6 miles.
The gate to Hay Creek Ranch will be on your right.
